Neon splatter nails

First off I'm still here! I've been working long hours and trying to still mommy/run a household. Turns out this is quite the juggling act. I'm still doing my nails, just not much art lately.

These nails are inspired by a screenshot of someone else's nails that a friend posted. So if they look familiar comment below so I can give credit where credit is due. Hubby took one look at them and said, "Please promise you'll post those. They are my favorite!" My lack of posting is making him sad I think.

I haven't done splatter nails in awhile and I love the pop of neon against the black to white gradient. Polishes used: Orly Black Vinyl, Zoya Snow White, with China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy splattered on top and then mattified with NYC Matte top coat.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer so far!

  2. I'm stoked you found some time to do some bloggy stuff. It's hard enough to find time/motivation during the summer months without kidlets so I can just about imagine what a feat this was. I have to say that my heart leapt a little when your mani came up in my IG feed :) :) So sweet that your hubby misses your posting. This is fab and the fact that it's done with pre-reform FFF makes it all the better! So I'm pretty sure we actually exchanged numbers last time, lol, so expect a text shortly (or a message via fb, if all else fails) <3

  3. You have a great husband, that he accepts your hobby and gives you feedback. Mine hates when I am painting my nails or I am looking to my polishes :( I understand the lack off time, I am in the same situation, sometimes 24 hours are not enough to make all the things I planed for the day. About the mani, it is jaw dropping gorgeous, love the contrast between the colors!

    1. I am continually so very grateful for how behind me he is. I think he likes that I actually take time here and there to actually do things I like - I can be a bit of a workaholic. We all need a little "us" time - here's to hoping your man comes around and understands that this hobby is so needed to relax sometimes. Thanks so much for stopping by. :)

    1. I didn't either until I saw the screenshot and then I went, "well that should have been an obvious combination!" Definitely a smack my head moment. Thanks so much!

  5. This is amazing! I love everything about it: the combinations of colors, the gradient, and the splatters. It's so awesome that I don't think you could have done this any better. :)

    1. Isn't it so fun? I've had some gals say they wish they were brave enough and I say life is too short not to be brave enough. It'd be so awesome to see these colors on more people. Let's all enjoy neon!
