Summer Challenge: Day 5 Polka Dots

You know me. I love polka dots. So when I saw that day five would be *drumroll please* polka dots I got a tad excited. Here's my, in my honest opinion, totally amazing polka dots:

Base color is China Glaze Unpredictable. Now I had read that people didn't feel this was a good duochrome so when Liesl Loves Pretty Things gave it to me as a gift I wasn't sure what to expect. Umm it's pure AMAZING. Yes it's a subtle duochrome but my word it's so shifty and gorgeous and doesn't need sunlight to be glorious. I now want all of them and have a feeling they'll be hard to achieve now. Good job me listening to others.
Blue green to green to deep greens and blues. I decided to play off the shift with my dots and I just LOVE the look!
Now some food for thought:
Are you thinking about food now? This was my first attempt at blackberry pie and has nothing to do with duochromes, blue, green or nail polish. BUT blackberries are a signature summer berry here in Oregon and this was a happy discovery. Until the next challenge: Stripes!! I am loving A Few Of My Favorite Things <3

  3. Fabulous idea, dots to match the duochrome! You are so remarkably clever. :) I'm stoked that you ended up liking this one, too. My local Sally's been keeping these well stocked, in case you feel like taking a field trip up the freeway... ;)

    1. I think I've learned that a good manicure deserves a good piece of pie. Or maybe a good piece of pie needs a good manicure to go with it...?

    1. It turned out pretty nice didn't it - I was a little nervous that I had picked too dark of blues but it somehow worked out on the duochrome.
