So I've recently seen that some people would like to see more accessible polishes. I love supporting indies because I'm a big believer in supporting the small businesses, local economy, and all that. BUT I own a LARGE array of mainstream. So I went for base coat the other day and Sally Hansen was buy one get one half off. How could I refuse?! I give you Sally Hansen Purple Haste:
I call these blackened purples but really it's a deep purple with a ton of blue pigmentation. I foresee a lot of this color this fall for me. This one, however, had tons of microglitter in blues, purples, and silvers. PRETTY! I have to say this formula is a near fail being super wet (I actually flooded a cuticle which hasn't happened in a LONG time). This is two coats, but a third would probably bring it to full opacity. Little work with a sucky brush, but overall a lovely color. But you all know me. I can't stop there! I decided to go for some layers. Bring on the photos (layering combo at the end).
That last one is in the shade with no flash. Not even kidding. Can we say BLING?! My polish enabler left Essie Stroke of Brilliance in my stash (score!) which is a blurple glitter in clear base. THEN I topped that with a coat of Essie Pure Pearlfection. I seriously wish I had a big ball gown and a ball to go to with this manicure. Until next time!
I love these combinations, they have a metallic shimmer that are irresistible :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? I keep looking at my nails - it's like shimmery water!
