Lusty Lacquers Shade of Grey swatches and review

Seriously now it's interesting that my first post back on the scene after this summer break would be a little more edgy. Yes I am a mommy, but I'm also a woman. A wife who believes whole-heartedly that a healthy part of the relationship is in the bedroom. So when Hubby and I found a sample box for him and I called Spicy Subscriptions (gets delivered in a non-descript envelope so as to avoid embarrassing scenes with the mail person or the neighbors) we couldn't try it out fast enough. As a side note I HIGHLY recommend the box to you gals and guys looking to spice it up a bit - makes for a fantastic date night. ;)

This month's theme was more edgy then normal, and I was a little bit nervous when I saw the 50 Shades of Grey theme. I may not have read the books but I've heard enough rumors and seen enough bright pink cheeks to easily guess the content...BUT they managed to pull it off and the box still be able to apeal to a wide audience.

Sooooo LONG description to arrive at one of the products in the box: Lusty Lacquers nail polish in Spicy Subscription Shade of Grey.

Great gunmetal with silver shades that just shimmers. Dark and mysterious with seriously shiny elements to fascinate. I think they captured this perfectly! The only downside is the dry time on this is a bit long for my liking, but I expected that. It's always long on the ones heavy with metallic bits.

Top and bottom are two coats with topcoat in indirect sunlight and the middle is two coats with topcoat in direct sunlight. You can see a slight silvery blue shimmer running through this polish with the strong silver finish.

Again though I haven't read the book it doesn't take a whole lot of imagination to fill the gaps. Bit of sexy zipper happening. Some black stilettos...lips and spikes! To top it off a bit of chains. Just to even it all out.
