A visit with Liesl and a giveaway!

My nails are nubbins at the moment which is sad since the Rainbow Honey March Mystery box landed in my mailbox yesterday. I may still swatch and put those lovelies up tomorrow...we'll see.

Also I'm sick AGAIN! Actually it's been on and off again for weeks now. So I'm pulling a past manicure (you may have seen it on my Instagram @mommydoeshernails already). It was inspired by this manicure by Nail Polish Wars.

I used Zoya Neely, like she did, for my base, but use Zoya Vespa for the top instead of London (I still don't have London). The thumb is two layers of OPI Servin' Up Sparkles from the Serena Williams duos.
I wore this pretty manicure to go see Liesl on one of our coffee dates. I got to see her new nail shape in person and was just floored by how her classic beauty is all encompassing. She pulls off points as flawlessly as she pulls off red lips. She's just amazing!

Speaking of amazing you NEED to hop over to her BLOG to enter her two year blogiversary giveaway! I felt incredibly honored when she asked if I would be a part of it. The best part? It's open internationally! Here's a breakdown of the goods:

*This giveaway is open internationally.  There will be two winners-- one will get a $25 USD gift certificate to Color4Nails and one will get a $25 USD gift certificate to Cult Nails.  The winners will be emailed and given 48 hours to respond.  If they do not respond within the allotted time, a new winner will be drawn.  Once the winners have been determined and have made contact, I will email each one $25 gift certificate; the first name drawn will get his or her choice; the second name drawn will get the other, unless the first fails to respond in the allotted time, in which event the second name gets to choose and I will draw another name for the other gift certificate.  It is each entrant's responsibility to provide me with an accurate, current, working email address.  I am not responsible for entry typing errors.  I reserve the right to disqualify any entrant who is drawn and has not completed all mandatory entries.*

Incoco Pedicure Nail Strips Review

Here's another of the products that Incoco sent me: pedicure strips! I'm so used to cutting my nail shields down to fit that this was a very pleasant surprise.

This kit is different from the French Manicure kit I posted about. It was an entire pedicure in a package. It contained two sets of strips, a package of nail polish remover pads, a file which doubled as a buffer, and a cuticle pusher. Impressive!

As you can see no bubbles, tears, or rips. This the day before my trip. I was gone for a week.

After. No visible wear and the only proof it's a week later is the growth gap. These strips were awesome! No top coat or base coat REALLY made me nervous especially since I knew I was going to be in sandals the entire time. But They work great!

The strips are super easy to apply. Like I said in my other review the key is to select a size you might think will be a little large and use the enclosed cuticle stick to tuck the edges down to the sides for a really nice fit. If it's a little too large guess what? It's REAL nail polish and you can clean up just like you would with a polish job. I didn't have to though.

Onto the giveaway. Incoco also sent me a set of purple nail strips. One of you get to try them out!

Happy blogiversary to me!! (Giveaway open internationally)

*Throws confetti...again*

Two years. A lot has happened in two years yet, surprisingly enough, I remember most of my manicures. I've done a lot of them.

So I've decided to do a giveaway instead of a manicure. I very rarely do these since I wanted to build in a way that wasn't purely due to giveaways (not that there's anything wrong with that - it's just what I chose for my blog). BUT with the looming event of GFC going away.....? I need to build my other venues.

*PLEASE READ THIS*. For a winner to be valid ONE of the following options MUST be entered in addition to leaving your email address for contact. This is open internationally. Some of my most loyal followers are overseas and I'd hate to leave you out.

Want to see the goods? Of course you do!

Prize package number one is Mommy's Choices. All items are brand new - I just took the Zoyas out to photograph them. Left to right on the Zoyas: Neely, Zuza, Arizona, and Lo.

Prize package number two is Hubby's Picks. Left to right on the Zoyas: Pippa, Tanzy, Zuza, and Shelby.

*Winners have 48 hours to respond to my emails. I will be verifying entries*

Follower Giveaway Announcement: UPDATE

Here we go!!! I need you (my awesome follower's) to help me out and I have some love to show in return. When I opened my newest nail polishes my husband (who loves these little unveilings and, shockingly, follows my blog - I so heart that man) says, "Why don't you have some kind of a referral contest?" Why not indeed! So what's on the table? So glad you asked!

At 50 followers 1 lucky person will win a Zoya of choice! CHOICE - meaning you go on their site, look at their colors and then command your fearless blogging leader to get you that color. Keep in mind their new Smoke and Mirrors Fall Collection is out........

If we make it to 75 followers (and I have a lot of faith in you so I'm counting on this one) another lucky person will win a Julep color (this will be a surprise - but it will be an unswatched and unopened bottle so it's safe to assume it's not one I currently have). UPDATE: If you win this, but are not a Julep fan due to the recent referral issues I understand. Simply let me know in the email and I will send a surprise Zoya instead.

At 100 followers those previous 2 winners will each receive a Burt's Bees cuticle cream in addition to their polish choice and another little surprise (I do like surprises so I'm not unveiling what that will be, but trust me you do want it).

If we go above that I'm going to need to get creative and I'll update.

Well since you're a follower that gives you an entry so score there! Here's where you can start racking up entries. If you share this on your blog either as an entry or on your sidebar that's another entry. If you share on Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr that's another one. Last but not least. For each follower you refer you get an entry. How does that work exactly? I'll have a spot on the form for each person to leave who referred them. Making it required (if you were already a follower put MDHN in the box).

So get to it - there's good stuff to be had! I will close this up September 26th and announce our winner by September 27th. Winner's have 48 hours to respond to my email otherwise I'll redraw. US entries ONLY - I've never shipped overseas and still need to figure that out. Thank you!
