June Julep Box: IT Girl

So guess who forgot to skip this month? I'm glad I spaced on a month where I LOVE the colors, but I'm super sad since I would have loved to use my Jules. Oh well.

This month was a nautical theme and I have to say I feel it was done BEAUTIFULLY.

At first the colors didn't look overly different to me, but when I picked up that "red" one I was amazed!

NOMS! These salt water taffys were soooo silky smooth and delicious. Pure heaven!

The colors are DELIGHTFUL! The theme was nautical and I'm so glad I had this box come (IT Girl) as I heard extremely mixed reviews on the DD creme that went out. The colors from top to bottom are Char (a royal blue crelly), Nan (a burnt salmon or pink toned brick creme), and Bess (also a crelly but the only thing that keeps popping in my head is cotton candy blue). The last two are my favorites of the three!

The gold is Julep Oscar and nautical made me think gold so I couldn't help but bring it in.

One thing I have noticed about these newer formula Juleps is the peculiar smell to them. Am I imagining it?

At any rate I loved the box! It was fun, colorful, and two of the three feel unique to me. Love, love, love.

May Julep Box: Getting Glammed up with the 1920's! (PHOTO HEAVY)

I'm the girl that wears neon all year around. December? Fuschia baby! October? Bring on the lime green. All year is bright. But, for some odd reason, the last two months more of the muted colors have been capturing my heart. So when the preview for the Julep May box went up I KNEW I needed it. Plus an upgrade. Or three. I am that girl!

I stuck with IT Girl although I really wanted to do a total upgrade this month. Those were gone almost instantly. I got Coco (an ox-blood red creme), Paris (a multi-dimensional glitter with gold, pale pink and holo glints), and Clara (a toned down peach). Also in this month's box was a freebie set of vintage style rose hair clips. Love.these.so.hard! People were actually complaining. About the freebies. It's a freebie. 'Nuff said.

I didn't stop there though. I had enough Jules (their reward system points) to score the lip sugar scrub FOR FREE! I also was totally in love with these two other colors so I did all three upgrades this month:

Millie (a smokey indigo blue), Zelda (champagne pink foil), and the sugar scrub for lips. This is my first non-nail related product by Julep.

First off every single one of these colors is a mega win. The foil is a little streaky but it totally works for it. The glitter spreads perfectly and the cremes are all gorgeous, one coaters. Love it ALL! Say what? You want to seeeeeee them?

The color combination is sublime and the glitter pairs perfectly. Also it's such a unique glitter. So shiny and holo-reflective in both sunlight and shade.

Swatch overload! Aren't they so GORGEOUS? I did not want to take these manicures off. Ok so I'm STILL sporting the last one there. Such happiness on my nails.

Ok now for the sugar scrub. For starters I have never exfoliated my lips. I know, I know gasps of horror and all that. I'm just learning to be a girl here so cut me a little slack. ;)

"Pamper you pout" it commands. Ok if you say so! ;)

Ok I had a super hard time not licking it all off my lips. It smells and tastes heavenly. It says to rub in firm circles on the lips and then blot off with tissue. My lips were soooo soft! I have to resist the urge to do it everyday. On that topic how often are you supposed to do this? The result of the exfoliation feels so incredible I just want to do it all the time. I don't wear lipsticks or anything and this made me realize how little attention I give my poor lips. I love this product so far and can see it becoming a beauty must-have for me.

This is my first Julep box since last September and I love it so much. I'm still a little irked with how shady September went down, but this box made me so happy that I can look past it. For now. Have a great day gals and guys!
