I tried to go patriotic I swear I tried. But, in case you haven't noticed, I tend towards the more unconventional manicures. So water marbling has had me intrigued and, instead of reasoning with myself that the gals on the youtube videos have done this many, many times, I told myself, "hey, how hard can that be?" How hard indeed! Let me ask you this: have you ever attempted to fold laundry with a 2 year-old romping around and a "helpful" 5 year-old? If not do so and you'll kind of understand what water marbling is (only add spendy, tiny bottles of polish and cups of water....oh yeah LOADS of fun).
Yeah not a win. I learned a valuable lesson: Don't mix a new technique with your precious Zoyas. Oh and don't fold laundry with a two year-old. It's like sweeping the dirt outside only messier.
I think your ring finger turned out nice. I like the polish swirling gently towards the middle of the nail bed.
ReplyDeleteI think it turned out great, you nerd.
ReplyDeleteFrom a distance, sure, but up close it was a hot mess. Bubbles, uneven surface and pulling all over. Maybe I should try on a quiet night again and with cheaper polishes. Thanks for the feedback :)
