Summer Challenge: Day 4 My Favorite Food

Well I don't have a total favorite per say, but I am such a bacon fan it's insane. My favorite doughnut? The bacon maple bar from VooDoo Doughnut in Portland. My favorite cupcake? An Elvis with candied bacon on top. My favorite bagel? The bacon cheese bagel from Ray's Food Place. Best memory of Las Vegas? Piling my plate with bacon. I think you get the idea...
Also I LOVE eggs. I love eggs with my bacon. But mostly I love bacon.

Well said Ron, well said. Up next on our travels through challenges (that will be posted on time - I do apologize for the lateness) is Polka Dots. I.freaking.heart.polka.dots!!!!! Until next time....

  1. OMG I love love LOVE this. I'm also a huge bacon fan <3 I made some maple bacon cornbread cupcakes last month that were to die for. So yummy, my mouth waters just thinking about them. I've heard so many good things about the maple bacon bar at Voodoo! Gahhh!

    1. Oh wow Kelly those sound divine! The maple bacon bar is a legend. The bacon is (and I utter this with pure reverence) made with THICK sliced and perfectly crisped bacon and made with REAL maple syrup. SHould you ever be in Portland (first you better let me know you'll be there so I can show all the best places) you can not leave without trying one. Fairly certain it's illegal to do so.

    3. Consider yourself invited! Now we have to convince Kelly to get up here! How fun would that be?!

    4. Portland is on my list of "must visit" places so believe me, I'll be calling you ladies when I do make it up there! And I'm smuggling maple bacon bars home with me too.

    5. Be prepared for the crazy - Portland is the epicenter of creative weirdos. I love it <3 I'm so serious though, it'd be way fun if you do make it up this way at some point to do lunch and shopping!

  5. Super cute. Nicely done. I don't know who Ron Swanson is, but your use of him is highly appropriate.

    1. Ron Swanson is the boss in Parks and Recreation. Think The Office kind of humor.

  7. Too funny! It looks great. I especially love the egg accent to balance out the bacon, LOL!

    1. The eggs really do bring balance. I was thinking I'd balance it with more bacon, but opted for the eggs. :)
