Born Pretty Store Review: Feathers!

I have another Born Pretty Store review for you today. Feathers!!! I have so wanted to try out a feather manicure so I JUMPED at the chance to try them out. I felt super intimidated by them at first, but this actually turned out to be an incredibly simple nail art technique to use on my nails.

First off these cute baggies of feathers contain 5 pieces each and cost 1.35/bag. I went with the neutral color in #8 but they have 12 colors available which you specify when you go to add to cart. Use code EBL91 for 10% off and they always have free shipping.

Onto the goods:

First off I LOVE that by using a color underneath is kind of "colored" the feather to match. I was hoping for this effect. The color underneath is Zoya Neeley. I let it dry and then used a french color on top to adhere the feather to. To see my fumbling with application check out my video:

I used nail clippers to trim the excess once I put them on. Little tip though. GENTLY press the feather on. By pressing it on too much the polish underneath, which is tacky, will squish up into the feather and get gunky and gooey. Not a pretty look. Also you can get TWO nails worth from each feather. So there's a full manicure's worth in each bag. Or lots of accent nails.

These are really fun and I'll be ordering more sets of them. The look is fun. They seal in perfectly (fun texture too). I feel they are easy to transform from funky to classy to sweet.

How do you feel about feathers?
