Hubby's Picks (HP33)

Hey Hubby I did it! The only sad thing is that the flash of color change was almost impossible to pick up due to the sunshine suddenly feeling shy. I shouldn't really be shocked. This is Oregon after all. This week's picks were Glitter Guilty In A Round About Way, Picture Polish Warning, Lime Crime Peaches 'N' Cream, and Girly Bits Shift Happens.

You can kind of see the shimmer of the red shift in the above closeup. I love all the swimming glitters in Glitter Guilty A Round About Way.

  • First I built up Glitter Guilty In A Round About way.
  • Next I taped off the bottom portion of the nail and painted Picture Polish Warning. I went a little thicker on this one to make it a bit more opaque.
  • Using a double-sided dotting tool I used Lime Crime Peaches 'N' Cream to do make the dots running the border of the two polishes.
  • Finally I topped it all off with Girly Bits Shift Happens. Toppers like this really pull a look together.

That concludes this week's Hubby's Picks. We'll see if he can stump this next week. If you try out the Hubby's Picks shoot me an email and be featured on the next Hubby's Picks post. Email mommydoes @ live . com (removing the spaces of course). Have a great night!

  2. Yep, summer showed up late and appears to be leaving early >:( Okay, so WOW. This looks amazing. It's almost like the boy knows exactly what he's doing. I especially love the role those circle glitters are playing.

    1. All.the.circle.glitter. It's become an obsession so I was thrilled! I just adore dots. Yeah and summer...for reals?! I barely got to take the kids swimming outdoors. But I'm also very done with summer. I can't precisely explain it ;) See you soon my sweet friend!!!!

  3. Your husband really picked that? I am impressed! I am sure my man couldn't be bothered. He'd just point at stuff at random.

    1. It all started as his idea! I was being a diva and saying I didn't have any inspiration despite hundreds of polishes and he goes, "Ok so what if I pick four polishes and you have to do a manicure with them without adding or taking away from the picks?" It just turned into a weekly thing and he LOVES to hit that cupboard to try to stump me.

    1. Thanks so much - the ones with glitter are so wonderfully artistic on their own that it seriously does feel like art to have to build off of them.
